James Scott chosen to represent NZ at the 2023 International Surf Rescue Challenge
The NZ Black Fins Team including James Scott, travelled to Texas USA to compete at the 2023 International Surf Rescue Challenge!
The ISRC is based around a comprehensive competition program conducted over three tests, which includes surf swim, surf board, surf ski and beach events. The event was first conducted in 1999. An overall point score will be maintained in both the Open Age and Youth categories with the winners being declared the respective Open and Youth 2023 International Surf Rescue Challenge Champions.
Outstanding results with the NZ Black Fins placing 2nd in the Open Age with a total of 333.00 points. James also secured top placings with the following individual points: Test One - 8th Place with 9.500 points, Test Two - 10th Place with 10.000 points, Test Three - 9th Place with 10.250 points.
This marks the start of a huge campaign as the team look to build towards the Lifesaving World Championships 2024.
