Ōrewa Surf Life Saving Club is a charity that primarily trains and provides volunteer Lifeguards to patrol our local beaches. Our mission is to protect the community in and around the water, and at Ōrewa we have been doing so since 1950. Our Lifeguards are a vital part of keeping our beaches safe and are also involved in community education and events. The expertise of our Search and Rescue (SAR) squad has also proved invaluable as they work alongside emergency services, providing assistance with search and rescues and flood relief to our local neighborhood and surrounding areas.

As a charity we are reliant on the generosity of local businesses, member support and successful grant applications.
