Our New Club Is On The Way
August 2027!

Ōrewa Surf Life Saving Club continues to make exciting progress towards its future building development, with an updated design reflecting
the funding available through community grants, sponsorship and fundraising.

The revised plans have reduced the overall building area from 1,969m² to approximately 1,700m², while maintaining the original building footprint.
The development will now comprise a primary building of 1,300m², a dedicated lifeguard tower of 32.5m², and a separate 320m² storage building.

This revised approach ensures the Club can deliver a modern, functional facility that supports lifesaving operations, junior surf programmes and community use, while remaining realistic about the funding required to bring the project to life.

The fundraising effort has been outstanding, with $7.5 million of the $8.16 million required for Stage One already secured. This is a significant milestone and reflects the incredible generosity and commitment of our community, funding partners, sponsors and supporters.

The focus now is on progressing Stage One, securing the next $0.6m, updated consents and putting spades in the ground as early as August 2027
- with the storage shed planned as a subsequent stage as additional funding becomes available.

This development represents a major investment in the future of surf lifesaving at Ōrewa, helping ensure the Club can continue protecting beachgoers and supporting our community for generations to come.
